Tom Adaba Legacy Centre Okene

Protecting cultural heritage and empowering women and youth are at the core of that we do , and a place like the Tom Adaba Legacy Centre is where we plan to call a home. The vision of building a center of knowledge in the heart of Okene is fully endorsed by the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, the Ebira Traditional Council and people of Ebiraland. The Centre has formed various partnerships with various local and international organisations to bring this vision to life. They include: Africa-Related, Ita’i Our ClothMark Anuma Medical Mission and others. The Legacy Centre is a cultural place, with training facilities for vocational trades like weaving. The Okene G.R.A location is strategic and accessible to all. Partnership development programs for this project is currently ongoing.

MODELED AFTER SUSTAINABILITY

AAZE FARMS

Aaze Farms is in line with Chief Patrons Prof. & Mrs Adaba's vision of self-sustainable living be encouraging farming, which has been a long-time means of livelihood for the Ebira people. Over 50-hectre farmland in Osara on the Okene-Lokoja Expressway and Gwagwalada, Abuja is set aside to grow various cash non-cash crops like cashew, mangos, oranges, cotton and fisheries; thereby reviving moribund industries like textile, supporting indigenous people and providing food for communities.

Disability & Mental Illness Advocacy

TALP lends its voice to improving the living standards of people living with disabilities and mental illness in Nigeria. Together with our Advocacy partners, we continue to create programs that include virtual and in-person learning and skills acquisition.
